Goals of the Technology Goes Home @ School Program:
- To encourage parents and children to work together toward a common goal
- To enhance the relationship between parents and teachers
- To help children improve their academic performance
- To help adults acquire 21st Century technology skills
This is the Frederick’s third year running TGH sessions and we are proud to say that more than 300 families have participated, 200 this year alone! Classes are open to all families except those that have already participated.
To complete the program and purchase a machine a family must attend 25 hours of training, along with 2 more hours for the pickup of the laptop. Both the family member and the student must attend all sessions. The student must be enrolled at the Frederick. Because of the popularity of the program, we cannot guarantee a spot. Therefore, we strongly encourage those interested to keep an eye open for the programs starting in the fall of 2008. We look foward to another wonderfully successful year of TGH@LGF!
